The Montessori School of La Jolla has been providing quality Montessori education and child care to the La Jolla and San Diego communities since 1975. We service the entire San Diego area because of our central location in La Jolla and our proximity to numerous coastal employment centers.
Our school is located a short distance west of Interstate 5 on the top of Mount Soledad.
The school has two Children's House classrooms (ages 3 years to 6 years), and a Toddler classroom (ages 18 months to 3 years).
Our main goal is to provide a loving, nurturing, stimulating, calm and caring environment for our children. Our school promotes respect, independence, enthusiasm for learning, and appreciation for self and others. The Montessori philosophy of education is to aid in the development of the child's unique individual potential.
Our individualized program is designed in accordance with each child's social and emotional needs, as well as his or her academic and physical development. Our academic curriculum consists of reading, math, practical life, sensorial, geography, cultural subjects, Spanish, computer educational programs, music and woodworking. Extra-curricular activities include gymnastics, dance and Orff music.
