Thank you for your interest in Santa Fe Montessori School. We are located in North County San Diego. The mission of Santa Fe Montessori School, in adherence to the principles of the American Montessori Society (AMS) and of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) as envisioned by Dr. Maria Montessori, is to provide a diverse, nurturing community where children are encouraged to concentrate their mental resources for the purpose of becoming successful learners. Our goal is to stimulate each child's natural curiosity and to prepare her/him to become an independent, self-directed, self-disciplined, self-reliant, confident, optimistic, compassionate human being who thinks critically, enjoys learning, and loves life.
We, at Santa Fe Montessori School, strive to be positive role models, provide education for life, bring about the spontaneous progress of the child, provide beautiful, orderly, and harmonious surroundings, while creating a partnership with our parents for the benefit of the child. We strive to provide a freedom to choose, balanced by the responsibility to be productive. We strive to provide a quality education that supports each child's individual development while acting in a manner that empowers each child and brings out the best in each child. We strive to provide learning that is in accord with each child's personal learning style and time line, while maintaining an accessible, quality Montessori education for all the children in our community. We strive to provide each child the freedom to reach his/her academic potential without grade level limits. We want to help each child become aware of, appreciate, respect, and care for one's environment and the environment of others. We strive to empower children's self construction, spark their imaginations, and instill a life-long love of learning, while upholding the pedagogical standards of the Montessori curriculum as taught by the AMS and AMI training centers.
Most importantly, Santa Fe Montessori School, encourages and protects each child's right to pursue independent action in successfully learning emotional, behavioral, and cognitive skills.
