Rosie's Mercantile -- Saturday, November 20, 2010

Rosies Mercantile, a Craft/vendor fair will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the St. Rose of Lima Parish Hall, 615 Vine Avenue, Roseville. This event is sponsored by the Fellowship for Women Ministry. Everyone is invited to attend. If you are looking for the unique gift, be it Secret Santa, Hostess gifts, stocking stuffers and the like, come join the fun. Admission is Free. There will be a Santas Workshop for children, where they will be able to make a craft, wrap it and use it as a gift for a family member. Lunch will be offered Chili, cornbread for $6.00; Apple Crisp and Coffee $5.00, both for $10. Also available will be hot dogs for children, hot apple cider, and apple juice. Raffle prizes provided by our vendors will also be in the offering. Questions/Applications: 916-783-5214.

Celebration: Parish 100 years and School 50 years

A celebration is being planned for the Parish 100 year anniversary and the School 50 year anniversary. More information is coming soon. If you would like to help with event planning, please contact either the Parish Office or the School Office.

Health Ministry: Become an advocate for the Parish Health Ministry. The Health Ministry promotes health and healing as part of the mission of a Faith Community. Activities may include health screening, education, advocacy and training. For more information, please call 916-783-5211 or 916-783-5214.

Sitters Needed: Sitters are needed for childcare during the 9:00 a.m. Mass. If you are able to help us, please call Dona at 916-786-0650.

Office Help: We are still in need of team members to help on Mondays and Tuesdays to cover phones and door. If you are interested, please contact Deborah at 916-783-5214.

For those that are concerned about Bob Stetson, a website has been created to update everyone about his condition. If you go to www.carepages.com and type "Robert Stetson" in the search box then scroll down to "CarePages websites to explore" you will find a link to his Care Page which will be updated on a regular basis

We all need help from time to time. Maybe a past due water or PG&E bill. New Moms need help with that new baby. Question on pre-teen or teens. Do you have an aging parent? These are just a few examples of how the many resources at St. Rose Front Door Ministry can help you. Our Front Door Minister is here in our Parish Office on Wednesdays from 10-12 only.

St. Rose of Lima will offer a six-week series entitled "CATHOLICS RETURNING HOME" beginning after Easter. The sessions are for non-practicing Catholics who have questions and are seeking answers about returning to the Church.
