A CHURCH RICH IN SPIRIT AND LOVE
The portrait of our family at the Oak Avenue Church is a snapshot of life in this world. We have whole families with a father, mother, two kids and a dog. And we have broken families. Repaired families. Blended families. Single-parent families. Married-divorced-and-remarried families.
Indeed, in an era when "'til death do you part" is a punch line and not a promise, unbroken families are a rarity. With the hectic pace of life, too many of us depend on family relations as our only source of happiness and contentment. The problem is that no person can provide us with that fulfillment, that pure sense of fullness and joy.
You have a responsibility to your family and to yourself. That responsibility is to find contentment, love, peace and happiness - and then share it with them. We think we can help. Please join us this Sunday, next Sunday and the Sunday after that for a series of messages that might help you find what you want in your family and in your life.
If you have given up on church or consider yourself a "non-church goer", you will be in good company. A number of people in our growing congregation describe themselves that way (at least they did before they joined us at the Oak Avenue Church).
