Asset Services, Inc. has been in the accommodation business since 1979. It is our only business and since it is, we believe, we bring outstanding services and knowledge to the transaction. We have been involved in transactions throughout the United States including the Virgin Islands and Guam. We believe our reputation gained through over 28 years in the business speaks to our professionalism.
We approach the exchange transaction as a team effort creating a successful transaction by the professional interfacing of the taxpayer, the accommodator, the escrow company, realtors and the accountant or tax advisors.
Our corporate structure allows us to individually work with the team in effecting an exchange using as many of the safe harbors as are useful in creating the desired result.
Sandra J. Hartness has been president of Asset Services, Inc. since its inception in 1979. She has an extensive background in real estate exchanging and the tax aspects of real estate transactions. She is a frequent speaker on the subject serving as the primary speaker in numerous seminars on the 1031 exchange and its related tax and real estate aspects.
Our fee schedule varies with the size and complexity of the exchange. Often the interest earned by the taxpayer offsets any fees charged by us. Please call our office to discuss your specific transaction. We are always happy to talk about our favorite subject - the tax deferred exchange.
