The National Cat Protection Society (NatCat) is a non-profit, no-kill cat shelter. We welcome owner-relinquished cats and kittens to stay in our clean and comfortable living quarters until they find a proper home. Our state-of-the-art facilities with protected access to the "outdoors" in large enclosed patio areas let them enjoy themselves without compromising their safety.
NatCat has two cat shelters in Southern California: Newport Beach and Spring Valley. The trained staff and dedicated volunteers all share a tremendous love for cats and are selflessly dedicated to their well-being.
Read on to learn about the Society, see some great pictures of our cats and find out how you can become part of our organization, whether you live in Southern California or some other part of the world.
FDA Cautions Against Online Pet Medications
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently issued a warning to avoid buying pet medications without a veterinarians prescription from unregulated online pharmacies. These pharmacies may falsely claim a vet will evaluate your pets condition but does not and then, will sell you expired or counterfeit meds.
Take your kitty in to a vet for an exam and prescription
Only buy meds from your vets state-licensed online pharmacy service, or a Veterinary-Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites (Vet-VIPPS)-accredited online pharmacy. For a list of Vet-VIPPS sites, visit http://www.nabp.net/programs/consumer-protection/buying-medicine-online/recommended-sites
