Christ Church Parish is a parish of the Anglican Catholic Church Original Province. We are dedicated to Biblical Truth and Catholic Order, and to knowing Christ and making Him known through Word and Sacrament. Worship at Christ Church Parish follows the historic 1928 Book of Common Prayer.
Christ Church Parish is housed in the beautiful and historic "Carpenter's Gothic" church building, which was originally built in 1869 on the foundation of the old Mission San Jose, which had been destroyed by an earthquake in 1868. In 1982, the sturdy wooden church was moved intact from it's original location in what is now known as Fremont California to it's new location in San Mateo California.
The move made possible the restoration and reconstruction of the adobe Mission San Jose, which was completed in 1985. Since 1982, Christ Church Parish has served San Mateo and surrounding communities, caring for the community and member congregation in the long standing traditions of the Anglican Catholic Church.
The One Way Community Church of God in Christ has been called to proclaim the gospel ministry for the holy man. This includes the development of man spiritually, physically, mentally and economically
