Home Missions Conference 2010 – “Hope for America”

Each year following Thanksgiving our church hosts pastors and missionaries and their families from all over the western United States.
These men, their wives and families have dedicated their entire lives to the work of God by way of church planting. Following the call of God, they make great sacrifices and place much faith on the Lord. These great servants of the Lord step out by faith, trusting the Lord to provide their daily needs.
The purpose of the 2010 Church Planting and Home Missions Conference is to provide an opportunity for these church planters to be encouraged. Many independent Baptist churches of like faith will assemble to be a part of providing for the needs of church planting families. Continued…

The land Sabbath is one of the first principles taught in the Bible. We find this principle first mentioned in Genesis 1 when God rested after six literal days (24-hour periods) of creating the heavens, the earth, the living creatures and beasts and fouls, and lastly male and female. At this point, God rested and it was for the purpose of admiring His creation.

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. [Genesis 1:31]

The Creator Himself took a moment to pause and admire the grandeur of creation. In everything that He saw it was very good. There was nothing at that moment that was bad, corrupt, indecent, despicable or shameful. All of Creation was pure splendor and greatness. Continued…
