WESTEC Plastics provides turnkey injection molding services including design, prototyping, production and sub-assembly. Many long-time WESTEC customers are some of the worlds most demanding customers when it comes to molding and finishing requirements. Our customer base is largely comprised of those that demand high precision and complex parts for automotive, communications, electronics, medical, military, and scientific applications.
We know that a molded part or parts often make up a critical cost component of an asssembly or device - especially when those parts are thin-walled or exceptionally complex with tight tolerances. Many customers involve us early on in the design process allowing them to realize a lower cost for the finished product and a competitive advantage. We optimize the molding process with a scientific or data-driven approach to manufacturing including part design, mold design and fabrication, material, and machine selection. We employ robust process validation and stringent quality management to eliminate the costs of overproduction and defective product.
Our molding machines run single or multiple cavity and conventional or hot runner molds. They range in size from 39 to 440 us tons, allowing us to mold parts weighing only a fraction of an ounce to 3 pounds. WESTEC customers can choose the molding environment that best meets their requirements from molding on the production floor to a choice of controlled or clean room environments.

WESTEC customers can choose between a wide range of engineering and commodity resins or filled materials utilizing glass, mica, teflon, carbon, and talc.
