Fully accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, RSC Inc., is a full–service multidisciplinary medical facility dedicated to providing state of the art testing and treatment for patients with sleep disorders. We currently operate a 4 bed facility in Novato California but our reach extends beyond the county as we partner with hotels in the entire San Francisco Bay Area to provide patients the most comfortable and professional overnight sleep diagnostic experience. In addition, Redwood Sleep Center pioneered the concept of integrating unattended overnight sleep home testing with fully attended overnight sleep diagnostic testing.

Based on several years of experience treating patients in sleep medicine, pulmonary and critical care, Dr. Melissa Lim, the Center’s Medical Director, realized that patients with sleep disorders would greatly benefit from the specialized, multidisciplinary care that only sleep medicine experts can provide. Inspired by her patients, Dr. Lim envisioned a clinic with state-of-the art equipments that ensure the most accurate diagnostic information possible and rapid turnaround times enabled by our very own proprietary workflow software. This means patients and their primary care physicians don’t have to wait a frustratingly long time before getting patients tested and their results returned. Our strategic alliances with several Durable Medical Equipment providers enable us to begin therapy for our more severe patients immediately. Our average through put (testing to therapy) is around a week.

Our full service facilities provide the ambient feeling of home as opposed to a clinical environment that can be intimidating to a patient who is about to spend a full night sleeping away from the comfort and security of their own home. For those patients who are incapable or unwilling to spend the night at the center, we offer ambulatory (home testing) equipments. Although, not considered as the “gold” standard for diagnostic testing, these devices have been proven to be effective in detecting your “vanilla” sleep apnea patient. At RSC Inc., our view regarding full diagnostic lab testing versus home testing is that one complements each other. There is a place where home testing is appropriate while a full laboratory diagnostic test will always be the “Gold” standard.

RSC Inc. is dedicated to listening to patients, educating them about their situation, and providing patient-focused consultation, evaluation and treatment for a wide range of sleep disorders. Assisted by a dedicated staff, Dr. Lim and her collaborating physicians will work closely with the patient’s primary care physician or dentist to provide the highest quality and most effective treatment possible.
