Construction is nearing completion for the City of Fremont’s $51 million Fire Safety Bond Program. Since 2004, Harris & Associates has been providing project and construction management services for the program, which includes constructing three new stations and remodeling and seismically retrofitting seven existing stations. These projects are expected to be delivered $2 million under budget.

Lisa V. Larrabee was welcomed as the new president and chief executive officer of Harris & Associates on October 18, 2010. Ms. Larrabee succeeded Guy Erickson, who is retiring after 30 years of service at Harris and eight years as president and CEO. Both Mr. Erickson and Carl Harris, founder and chairman of the board, will continue on the Board of Directors to facilitate the leadership transition.

Bellevue, WA—Sam Yaghmaie, PE, LEED® AP, senior project manager in Harris & Associates’ Northwest Region office, received the James Robertson Award from the Washington State Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA). The award, which recognizes outstanding service to the chapter, was presented October 7 during the group’s fall conference in Wenatchee, WA.

Harris & Associates received a Project of the Year Award from the Nevada Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) on Thursday, October 7, 2010. The award recognizes Harris’ special achievement for their construction management services on the City of Las Vegas' Big League Dreams at Freedom Park construction project (Structures over $20 million category).
