Transition, New Opportunities, and Anticipation!
Welcome to the Foothill Covenant Church website! You’re probably wondering what we’re all about. Well, in a nutshell, change!

Our long-time pastor, Jim Gaderlund, retired on February 14th after 17 years of service. So we’re asking ourselves, “Now what?” The answer is that we’re going to be taking our time deciding where to go from here. It could be a year or more before we find a full-time pastor.
History tells us that during this in-between time some will leave our fellowship for various reasons. Yet, we also know that new faces will show up; folks who want to be part of a fresh start here in the Mountain View/Los Altos/Sunnyvale area. We’re located across the street from Mountain View High School.

If you want to be part of a committed group that will be experiencing, first-hand, the power of God acting through ordinary folks for His extraordinary purposes please join us! We don’t offer a “super-star” pastor, or techno-worship, or sheer numbers, but what we have we extend to you – a warm hand of friendship and an excitement about what God is doing in our lives!
Well be led by a gifted transition pastor, Tim Sandquist. He’s leading us through a series entitled “Flow’ - learning how to live generosly in our interactions with strangers, friends and family – to see them as God-loved persons. He’s also reminding us that God is at work even in unsettled times – maybe doing more than when things are stable!

We are a people of young families and older adults, committed to God and each other. Despite our weaknesses, in this transition time we’ll be experiencing first hand the reality of what Jesus did for us 2000 years ago, and how the Spirit is transforming our lives today.

At 10:30 every Sunday, we worship God in song, prayer, sharing of joys and sorrows, and through the Word. We’re going to be exploring what it means to rely on God for direction and new ways of ministering to each other and to the world – nothing very complicated. Each Sunday, our kids hear a children's sermon during the service. Last week 18 youngsters clustered around Pastor Tim as he explained how rain feeds creation.
