With offices located in downtown Santa Cruz and Hollister, Ms. Pleyte handles all types of family law matters and selected probate matters (guardianships and conservatorships). Her focus on this particular area of law allows her to provide clients with the expertise and competence needed to guide them through their difficult personal situations.

Legal Services Tailored to Your Needs
Ms. Pleyte's primary area of practice is family law, including divorce, custody, and support and other related issues. She handles both aggressively contested matters and matters in which the parties hope to resolve issues cooperatively. Ms. Pleyte handles all matters personally, including all court appearances.

Appointments are regularly available between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. Appointments outside these times are available by special appointment.

Every potential client is entitled to a single one hour consultation for a flat fee of $150. These consultations are an opportunity for Ms. Pleyte to learn about the facts of your case and give you a preliminary assessment of your matter, including the primary legal issues involved. At the end of the consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss the costs of legal representation going forward.

Hourly Fees & Advanced Retainers
Once retained, Ms. Pleyte's hourly billing rate is $300 per hour for all time spent on your matter.

Retainers are required for most cases and are set based on the complexity of your matter. They are payable in advance of the commencement of work on your matter. Any portion of an unused retainer is fully refundable.
