Jerry Fontanetti started his business about the same time the Beatles invaded America. Most people know his store as a baseball oasis. And it is. But he also carries the latest gear for football, basketball and other sports. The store does a lot of business in custom uniform sales, varsity jackets and lettering. No one even comes close to the custom work Jerry does each year in his store.

Fontanetti's was one of the first family owned sporting goods store to experiment with the Internet. Jerry got hooked up in the mid 90s but he decided he preferred having customers come into his store or call him on the phone to make an order. He's definitely a hands on guy. He still thought it was a good idea to have a web site but don't expect him to return any email.

Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Fontanetti's Athletic is a classic old school sporting goods store and meeting place for up and coming stars and former pro players. It's more like going to the gym than going to a store. This vibe is what makes Fontanetti's a true classic and a must stop for anyone visiting from out of town.
