We have 1500 acres of the finest duck, goose and pheasant hunting in Northern California. We offer daily hunts with 300 to 800 decoys per blind. Professional guides will take you to the blinds using ATV vehicles, call in the birds and aid in the retrieval of the birds. We have stoves and heaters in the blinds to make your hunt more comfortable. Unlike refuge hunting, there are no hunters shooting right next to you or at your birds. There is no standing in line or waiting for the mail to see if you were drawn for a reservation. Enjoy your day and your birds.
It takes hard work, determination and patience to develop an exceptional hunting club. That is what SUNDANCE is all about. Duck hunting should be fun and successful. So put some fun into your hunting and hunt with us. Call or write us today for reservations!!
Sometimes we really have to stop and think about the important things in life. We get stressed from the competition of everyday work and need time to wind down. This is where I feel hunting can be a real stress reliever. It's often not the hunt, but the Spirit of the Hunt, that we need to think about. We have the companionship of fellow hunters and the beauty of nature surrounding us.
There is something about that pre-dawn excitement, with the sounds of mallards, widgeon, teal and pintail that makes a hunter smile with anticipation of the day ahead.
Whether hunting with friends, a son, a daughter, your wife or a father, just being out in the field with them is what hunting is all about. Our mission at Sundance Hunting Club is to give all hunters the opportunity to have a great hunt. Our guides will give you 110% of their energy and use all their knowledge to call the ducks and geese into the decoys. They are there to make sure your hunt is safe and enjoyable.
Waterfowl hunting is exciting, frustrating, tiring, but most of all fun. There are a few hunters we have guided in the past, who no matter how many ducks or geese they shot were not happy because they did not "get their limit." They may have had a six-bird average and shot 50 shells each, but the first thing they will say is, "how come we did not get our limits?"
At Sundance, we have a phrase called "ups." An "up" is when the birds are called in to the decoys within 30 to 35 yards. An average day at the club is 4 to 6 "ups." A better-than-average day is 7 to 9 "ups," and 10 or more "ups" is considered an exceptional day. Would you consider a hunt for two hunters a success if they had six "ups" and knocked down two mallards, three widgeon, and a pintail? Just remember why you are hunting. The Spirit of the Hunt is what Sundance Hunting Club is all about.
