Chico Environmental Science and Planning (Chico Environmental) is an environmental consulting firm serving the north state. John Lane, Principal Scientist, offers high quality, cost effective consulting services to a wide variety of clients.

Our dedication to efficient, resourceful, and innovative approaches to projects stems from our belief that the north state is a unique environment deserving careful planning and development. It is our intention to assist public and private entities with development projects, conservation projects, and natural resource management. Chico Environmental is devoted to strong advocacy of our clients' interests, personalized and responsive service, unique and innovative problem solving, highly educated, experienced and professional personnel, and creative approaches to the meaningful mitigation of environmental impacts. Specifically, Chico Environmental offers professionals whose primary focuses are Regulatory Compliance, including compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Environmental Engineering, Surface Water Resources, Groundwater Resources, Realtor and Homeowner Services, and Planning and Permitting. Chico Environmental has a staff of educated and experienced personnel with expertise in a broad range of relevant disciplines including hydrology, hydrogeology, geology, chemistry, environmental engineering, soil and water science, watershed management, planning, mapping, resource economics, public policy, and computer applications. We are also members of the International Erosion Control Association, National Groundwater Association, National Speleologic Society, Cave Research Foundation, Lechuguilla Exploration and Research Network. Chico Environmental is available to assist public and private entities, including local municipalities, the development community, and private entities.
