El Camino Rental and Grading, a division of Bilcan, Inc. started in 1975 and as of last year remained an individually, locally owned construction equipment and truck rental company. As a licensed contractor, our firm graded pads for homes and businesses throughout San Diego North County. In 1985, we discontinued our grading operations to focus solely on the construction tools and equipment rental business. In the last 35 years we have provided equipment rental services to the construction and industrial industries throughout San Diego County . We are one of the oldest independent rental companies in San Diego with locations in Carlsbad, San Marcos, Vista, Oceanside, and Santee.

As of January 1, 2007, due to the generosity of our owner, El Camino Rental became an employee owned company. We are very proud of the fact that our management and sales staff have over 200 years total or an average of over 26 years experience each in the heavy construction equipment rental industry. Most of our management staff started in entry level positions in a rental yard. Our combined management and sales staff have worked for a wide range of rental firms throughout the country. Some have worked for the large, national rental companies, some have worked for regional or local rental companies. Many of us have worked together over the years at other construction equipment rental companies and most of us have spent the majority of our careers in the San Diego area and with El Camino Rental.
Our staff of office, counter and yard personnel, as well as our mechanics and drivers are extremely qualified and many are industry veterans. We service, maintain and repair almost all of our own equipment. We currently own approximately 12 million dollars of rental equipment. Our biggest investment is in dirt and high reach equipment.
Although we are predominately a contractor oriented company, our customers range from homeowners and small contractors requesting bobcat rentals, truck or tractor rentals to the large corporations in Southern California. Our business has always been based on quality customer service and our strong relationships with our customers.
El Camino Rental has been a proud member of The California Rental Association (CRA) for numerous years. Our president serves on the Board of Directors and is president of the CRA-San Diego Chapter for the last 17 years.
