We have been proudly serving the San Jose area community since 2003. Sunshine Montessori school offers 2 6 year-old children a traditional Montessori program with a complementary focus on the whole child in addition to strong academics, our program fosters the development of childrens social skills, independence, and confidence. As a school, we take great pride in the academic success of our students as we offer an individual approach to learning, allowing each child to excel at their own pace, creating a sense of accomplishment and pride. Our kindergarten readiness program more than prepares your child for a successful transition into the Cupertino public school system. Children at Sunshine Montessori School work hard at academics, and balance this with celebrating their early childhood by dancing, singing, creating and having fun.
A Message from the Director
My name is Willow Armstrong and I am the director and head of school at Sunshine Montessori School. I am a trained and certified Montessori teacher and have been teaching and directing since 2000. I was previously the co-owner and co-founder of Montessori School Development, Inc., and the director of Calaveras Montessori School in Milpitas. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing the look of discovery and wonder in the eyes of a child. Our future as a nation pivots on the successes of todays child and its my belief that the Montessori philosophy provides a balanced academic environment designed to nurture and develop a childs sense of confidence, individuality, and independence. Through a trial-and-error exploration in the prepared Montessori environment, your child will build a sense of accountability and ownership over themselves and their education. Montessori education plants the seeds for a lifetime of learning and empowerment, embracing each child as important and unique paving the way for a child to reach their full potential.
