Dr. Mitchell is one of the most qualified and experienced optometrists around being the former Director of Ocular Disease at UC Berkeley and the former Director of Eye Care for Kaiser-Permanente in San Francisco. Dr. Mitchell is an experienced contact lens doctor and participates in a number of contact lens research studies. We are providers for major vision insurance companies like Vision Service Plan (VSP) and EyeMed. We are also providers for medical insurance to cover medically-related eye care like Medicare, St. Mary's, Blue Cross, and Blue Shield.
Dr. Mitchell has a special interest in contact lens fitting in patients having trouble after LASIK, PRK, cataract and other eye surgeries and in patients with corneal distortion or irregular astigmatism in conditions like keratoconus.
