Security is the number one concern of every customer we talk to. Customers are concerned with protecting their companies intellectual property as well as their employees personal information. They need to feel comfortable that the prototype boards they transferred to their computer recycling partner were actually destroyed and not resold out the back door. They also need to know that the old computers they disposed of are processed properly and the disk drives are processed to DOD Standard 5220.22-M thus guaranteeing the potentially confidential information contained on the disk can never be accessed. This disk wipe step is often overlooked but is very impotant. This is an increasing concern with our customers as there is potential liability associated with this Inadvertent Disclosure of Confidential Information and the associated identify theft, a full disk wipe is mandatory.
