Dec. 4th and 5th 2010: Nutcracker performance with guest dancers from Pacific Ballet Academy and Pasaden Civic Ballet at the Baldwin Park Performing Arts Center
California Classical Youth Ballet is a non-profit performing company (CA state id#2199929), founded by artistic director Marielle Reyes, whose legacy passed on to the direction of Ilona Missakian in 2007.
Based in Glendora, CA and proudly working with many of the dancers at the former Dance en l'Air Ballet Academy--now Academy en l' Air Ballet studios--CCYB enjoys the contributions from and collaborations with many talented and energetic inidividuals and organizations, including Pacific Ballet Academy in San Jose, CA under the direction of Marion Chaeff and Rima Chaeff, and Pasadena Civic Ballet under the direction of Diane de Franco-Browne.
CCYB enjoys the delightful collaborations that an active community can volunteer and bring together to make valuable experiences and opportunities available to young people. The countless hours that go into productions include the labors and talents of dear friends, parents, and grandparens who become elaborate costume makers and designers, expert musical technicians, prop creators and donators, program and guest travel and transport coordinators--the list goes on! The CCYB backstage support guarantees that audiences will receive a well-planned and aesthetically pleasing program to present the dancers and their skills beautifully. We are very proud to provide performing opportunities to CCYB's many committed individuals.
