If any of these factors are ignored during the design phase, the landscape will fail on some level, leaving you, the client, with an unrealistic, inefficient, or needlessly expensive mess to clean up. It may look nice on the day of installation, but the landscape will either struggle to survive and ultimately die, or it will grow into an unmanageable jungle later on. The look of the landscape from its first day is just as important as what it will look like ten years later. And it all starts with a quality, forward thinking design.
