How often should I come?
At Harmony, we want you to experience maximum relief from your health complaints in the shortest amount of time possible. Acupuncture works best when you are treated frequently and regularly and treatment effects are cumulative. While a single treatment can provide short term relief, frequent andregular treatments are required for long term benefit. In Asia, a course of treatment may be 12 treatments over 2 to 3 weeks and some cases require several courses of these treatments. We designed our clinic around the sliding scale which reduces the typical cost of treatment by 60% to 80%. We wanted to make the treatments as affordable as we possibly could, so that you can get enough treatments to get well. That is our primary focus.
For acupuncture to have a lasting effect, it is best to receive it frequently and often enough for a cumulative improvement in your health. Below are some guidelines that apply to most cases:
If your problem is newFor cases of recent injury or illness, you will experience the best benefit from multiple visits in a short period of time. We usually recommend two to five treatments per week, for a couple of weeks. By this time, you should feel much better and you and your acupuncturist can determine if further treatments are needed.
If you have a long term or chronic problem...It is usually best to start with a series of treatments close together, usually twice per week, for a period of time and then gradually increase the amount of time between treatments as your condition improves.
What else do you offer? We also offer other therapies to support your well being, such as massage and classes inTai Chi and Qi Gong. These classes will be offered at a cost as low at $5 per class.
