Action Roofing—Our Story
Action Roofing was established in Santa Barbara in 1985 by Jack Martin, CEO
and active general manager of the company. Through the years we have grown
to over 60 full time employees, many have been with us since the company
started. We have worked hard to develop an excellent reputation in the
local community. We carry full insurance of both general liability and
worker's compensation, with a policy of one million dollars for your
protection. We are members of the Better Business Bureau with the highest
rating listed at AAA. Action Roofing is also an active member of the
Tri-County Roofing Contractors Association, Santa Barbara Contractors
Association, Western States Roofing Contractors Association and the National
Roofing Contractors Association. We have received State Compensation
Insurance Fund safety awards in loss prevention for the last three rating
years. We perform all types of roofing, both commercial and residential.
The majority of our business in the past has been re-roofing single family
homes, apartments and condominiums; however, we have recently developed an
extensive roof maintenance division for both industrial and residential
properties. We are certified applicators of Certainteed Fiberglass Shingles
as well as built-up roofing material by Certainteed and Carlisle. In 2006,
IB PVC Roof Systems named Action Roofing California Contractor of the Year
and in 2007 we received our award for installation of one million squares of
their product. Our crews have years of experience in the installation of
all types of tile, synthetic shake roofing, slate and standing seam metal
roofing. We also have a full sheet metal fabrication shop as well as two
mobile seamless gutter machines in order to complete all phases of the roof
