Join us in 2010 for Bakersfield's premier TRICK-OR-TREAT experience! Children ages 3 - 12 can safely trick-or-treat for terrific goodies on the historic Kern County Museum grounds in a family style environment. There will be over 30 trick-or-treat stations and lots more fun to enjoy including: Costume Contests School-type Carnival Food and Beverages for sale AND MORE!!! This is a Kern County Museum Foundation sponsored event. Please call 661-852-5020 for more information.

NOTE: The Museum will cease selling General Admission at 1:30pm on October 30 and 31 in preparation for the evening's event.

The Kern County Museum was founded in 1941 and serves more than 85,000 people each year from its 16-acre site north of downtown Bakersfield.

The Bakersfield Sound, made possible by the Bakersfield County Music Museum, a non-profit organization solely in existence to promote the Bakersfield Sound

The museum is consistently recognized for providing some of the most outstanding educational programs in the state of California, such as Native American Life, and Living History Day: Frontier Life in Kern County.

Featuring over 80 images from the historic photo collection of the Kern County Museum, Traditional Tails: Portraits of Kern County Pets and Their People explores the relationships that Kern County residents had with their furry and feathered friends throughout history.
