These neutralized particles are pulled out through the skin via a process called osmosis, or the movement of particles through a membrane from a lower concentration to a higher concentration. In this case the higher concentration is the ion field set up by the array in the water.
The array goes into the water with the feet, and the control unit delivers a current to the array. This causes the metals within the array, with the water and salt to generate positively and negatively charged ions. The ions that are generated appear to neutralize toxic substances, and cause an attraction thereby allowing toxins to be removed.
