Welcome to First Baptist Church of Monterey, where you will find a real mix of love for God and love for each other! Our goal is to bring glory to God who has revealed Himself to us in the truthful and trustworthy Bible. We do this in joy and gladness through authentic worship, vibrant Bible teaching and effective service here in Monterey, and to the farthest ends of our world! First Baptist Church of Monterey has been around for over one hundred years and we continue to hold fast to the truth that brought us together back in 1910: That God loves us and has saved us by his wonderful grace! We are totally conservative in our beliefs, yet authentic and fresh in our outlook. Come check us out and see for yourself!

Our purpose for existing:
The purpose of First Baptist Church of Monterey is to glorify God by knowing Him and leading everyone to salvation and maturity in His son, Jesus Christ, through the truth of the Word of God by the gracious work of the Holy Spirit.
