Important FDIC Coverage Information
On May 20, 2009 the President of the United States extended the temporary increase in FDIC coverage from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor through December 31, 2013.
Unlimited deposit insurance coverage is available through December 31, 2010 for non–interest bearing transaction accounts at Exchange Bank.
Exchange Bank is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all non–interest bearing accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
Checking accounts, regardless of balance, (exclusive of money market accounts), and payment processing accounts, such as payroll, are now completely insured…Also included in this new program are interest bearing transaction accounts including:

Interest on lawyers trust accounts (state bar accounts)
Checking Plus Interest Accounts (“CPI”)*
Premier Checking Accounts*

* the balances in the above accounts are fully insured when the interest rate is equal to or less than .25% effective July 1, 2010.
