Kate McDonald, LCSW

I am a therapist with over 18 years of experience in counseling individuals, couples and groups in private practice as well as in a variety of agencies in California, Oregon and Minnesota.
My focus in my work includes a holistic approach to seeking recovery and a deeper level of integration within the self, the "family", organization and community.
My approach integrates a variety of theoretical approaches. In addition to formal training and education, I have a background in dance, writing, martial arts, spiritual practice and the creative arts, which I integrate into my work with clients when appropriate.

In addition to these specialties, through my company, Creative Response, I offer consultation and conflict resolution to organizations and businesses as well as a team and community building and diversity training which I offer in collaboration with a colleague, Majid Howells, MFCC. When consultation and team building requires high tech knowledge and experience, my husband, Bob McDonald, M.S., experienced senior architect and software engineer, is involved in Creative Response training. Other peers are involved with our training on an as needed basis.
I also provide clinical supervision to organizations on a contractual basis as well as to individuals who are working toward their MFCC or LCSW license in California.
