Our School of massage therapy is located in the mountain region of Lake Tahoe, in the town of Truckee, California, a serene and beautiful location for massage training in the healing of spirit, mind and body.
The ancient Greek philosopher, physician Hippocrates, the father of western medicine, believed man was related to all the natural elements. He believed in treating man as a whole, not the disease. The foundation of all healing is the connection with our environment, the mental, the physical and the spiritual aspects of man as a whole. We are in a time of new discoveries of the old ways of natural medicine. All of the programs offered at the Body Being Massage Center begin with seeing and knowing wellness in one's own self, learning the necessary clinical knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and understanding our existence as human beings with the environment in which we live and become life itself. Our genetics are only the beginning of our individual development. Touch is necessary for the development and functions of the central nervous system, it is as vital to our existence as is food, water and breath.
