David Markham, and I am committed to achieving the best possible results in every case I handle. How do I get results? I do it by following the path that's most appropriate for each case, even if it's not the most common path.
Ninety percent of my legal practice is focused on criminal defense and I take great pride in going above and beyond what is expected of the "standard" attorney, using creative strategies to overcome new and unique obstacles that come up along the way. I am also a trial lawyer, which means I am willing to go the distance in all of the cases I handle.
Personal Attention from a Local Trial Lawyer
Surprisingly, not all of the law firms that advertise as being local actually are. Many of them come into the area occasionally to handle cases, but they are not based here. Often, these are the types of law firms that are in the business of churning out one case after the next, paying little attention to the unique needs of each client. I do not run that type of law firm, and I truly am local.
Having a local attorney is extremely beneficial. Working out of offices in Lakeport and Ukiah, I serve people in those communities, as well as Clearlake and the surrounding parts of Lake and Mendocino counties. Because local work is my focus, I have experience dealing with the area's prosecutors and law enforcement. I know the courts and their customs.
In additional to criminal defense matters, I also represent clients that have been involved in motor vehicle accidents and those that have lost a loved one due to negligence resulting in a wrongful death.
