COMING SOON TO SAN DIEGO
When the 31st Annual Symposium on Sea Turtle Biology & Conservation is convened in 2011, this annual event will have spanned 4 continents, 6 countries, and touched the lives of thousands of participants. But this time the Symposium is in San Diego!
Back in the United States for the first time in 4 years, the 31st Symposium will be held April 12-15, 2011 at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center.

The SDTTS will be active at the Symposium and volunteers are needed.
To volunteer, contact president@sdturtle.org today.

San Diego Turtle & Tortoise Society is ready to assist in turtle and tortoise rescue from people who have found a lost or injured animal and from people who no longer can care for an animal due to illness, age, financial issues, etc.
Adoption or re-homing, is a major function of the Society. The animals that are turned in to the Society are placed in foster care and are adopted to homes approved by our Adoptions Committee.

In order to adopt from our Society, you must be a member and fill out the appropriate adoption request form.

Or mail your check to SDTTS, PO Box 712514, Santee CA 92072. Contact president@sdturtle.org if you have any questions.

SURVEY: Microchip Identification
Unlike dogs and cats, our turtles and tortoises are not quite suited to wearing collars with ID tags. But microchips can provide a convenient, long-lasting and reliable form of identification.
Most microchips are about the size of a grain of rice. This small size makes them easy to inject into muscles or beneath the skin of all but the smallest chelonians. While providing durable and easy tracking and identification, the microchips are designed to have an operating life of over 25 years, however most companies guarantee the microchip for the life of the animal.

When you vote - a tally of all responses will be displayed.
