Fireplace mantels, Redwood burl slabs, rustic tables, turning blanks and carving blocks of all sizes and shapes have been cut on our mills for more than 40 years now. The burls were usually sold to commercial designers of furniture and sculptures. The woods that were not sold wholesale were mostly assembled and finished in our own shops. Our slabs and blocks, whether cut from tree sections or free-form burls or roots, have been used for tables, desks, bars, doors, fireplace mantels, Mantel shelves, beds, signs, picture frames, carvings, burl flooring, turnings, veneer, etc... for years. We have shipped hundreds of truck or container loads of our woods all over the world. Now we will be selling direct to the wood workers, turners, carvers and craftsmen themselves at a reasonable price because we are the loggers, not middleman. We have just added burl blanks of all sizes for carvings and turnings. Tree sections or stump tops from 50 to 50,000 pounds, suitable for sculptures and carvings are also available. Maple, Myrtle, Madrone, Yew and Manzanita are in our inventories but we specialize in Redwood burl slabs, blanks and blocks.
