Hi, I'm Bill
I love teaching people of all ages how to drive safely and have a lot of fun doing it. While my office is listed as being in Pinole, my real office is a 2005 Toyota Camry.

Our trained defensive driving instructors cover Contra Costa, Alameda, Marin, and San Francisco counties.

Our instructors work most weekends and are available for after-school and early evening appointments as needed.

Enroll in a behind-the-wheel driving course with us and we will mail your Enrollment Certificate that day.

We are affiliated with Drivers Ed Direct, an online Drivers Education course that prepares students to take their written permit test.

What makes learning with Bill's Wild Parrots Defensive Driving School different?

Safer training vehicles. Unlike other driving schools, our cars are specially equipped with accelerator and brake controls on the passenger side (most driving school vehicles only have a brake pedal). This enables our trained safety instructor to to drive the car, not just stop it, providing a much safer experience for the student and nearby motorists.

Family-friendly instruction. Bill encourages parents and family members to ride along during driving lessons, even though many schools don't allow it.

A defensive approach. While preparation for the DMV driving test is important, it is not the sole focus of Bill's defensive driving course. If students don't learn safe driving techniques, simply showing them how to pass will not serve them in the long run. Safe, defensive driving in a wide range of driving environments is our focus.
