LawyersWriting is a web site for readers and writers of legal fiction, both lawyers and nonlawyers alike. It was conceived by Stephen M. Murphy, a plaintiffs employment lawyer in San Francisco. A reader and author of legal fiction, Mr. Murphy has written the legal thriller/murder mystery ALIBI and the anthology of interviews of lawyer-novelists, THEIR WORD IS LAW: Bestselling Lawyer-Novelists Talk About Their Craft, both published by divisions of PenguinPutnam. His latest book is WHAT IF HOLDEN CAULFIELD WENT TO LAW SCHOOL?: Selected Legal Fiction and Nonfiction, which contains short stories, essays, book reviews of legal fiction, and more interviews of authors of legal fiction and is the first book published by LawyersWriting.
