The Dog House opened in 1995 as LA's first dog daycare center. Our experience benefits dogs of all shapes and sizes! The Dog House staff are experienced handlers who encourage socialization and play for a dogs dog, or provide compassionate companionship for the more human-oriented dog. The Dog House provides a loving environment for your dog in our unique facility - ample space in which to romp or rest with natural light, fresh air and friendly faces.
Please call to arrange a "Meet & Greet" with both you and your dog before the first day of daycare or grooming (mid-afternoons are best). Your dog will have a positive first impression after being greeted by a friendly face, a dog cookie, and experiencing the sounds and smells on a friendly short visit. Also, we like to meet each dog before they join the pack, to ensure the safety and happiness of the rest of the pack as well as the newcomer. Bring your vaccine records, and will take this time to have you fill out a behavior profile and contact information so that the first drop off is short and sweet. Please allow at least 20 minutes for your dog and our staff to become acquainted. Reservations will not be necessary for daycare once we have your dog's file complete.
The Dog House is open for daycare Monday - Saturday. Weekday morning drop-offs begin at 7:30 and pick-ups are until 7 pm. If you need to drop off or pick up a bit earlier, we can often accommodate, so please call ahead to arrange with us. Saturday hours are 10-5.
