While we do our best to take care of all of your issues ourselves, we certainly do know our limitations and work with certain specialists for more complex cases. You may see something listed here that we do, however no one will really know what is in your best interest until you sit down with one of our doctors to thoroughly go over a treatment plan with you.

Business History

Crescent Dental was founded in September of 2011. Our first location was opened in Seguin, Texas to a warm reception to the community. Our San Marcos location then opened at the beginning of 2012. In July of 2016, we have finally grown and are now operating in Lockhart, Texas!

We have built these practices to create a family-friendly environment with no discrimination of age. We begin seeing patients from 6 months old and thrive on taking care of the whole family. Oral hygiene is a family practice and we understand that. Starting from an early age, with parent education, we work to prevent oral problems before they have a chance to arise.

Crescent Dental has also made a strong effort to ingrain ourselves in our local communities by promoting oral health awareness. We are constantly trying to find local events and health fairs to participate in where we can help everyone gain a little further understanding about the state of their mouths. We want to be more than just your dental office, but to be apart of your community!

Our doctors provide a gentle experience for patients of all ages. It does not matter if this is your first visit to the dentist or a seasoned veteran, we will do the best we can to provide an experience second to none.

Biography

Dr. Paul Shahwan is the founder of Crescent Dental. He was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Arlington, he attended Baylor Colege of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

In 2011, he and his wife moved down to New Braunfels bringing with them their three kids - a German Shepherd named Heidi, English Bulldog named Monkey and Great Dane named Wolf. In August 2013, they welcomed their first human child to add to the growing family and, again, added to the pack in 2016. Dr. Shahwan is always looking for ways to get involved in the community and has made a habit of helping Boys Scouts earn their merit badges in Dentistry!

During his downtime, Dr. Shahwan is always looking for a new project. Remodeling projects, building furniture, creating websites...there is always something to occupy his time. It's probably because he watches the DIY Network too much.
