Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Adel S. Khalil, DDS, MD, and Keith Nelson, DDS, Berkeley, CA, practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom tooth removal. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries and TMJ disorders, and performs a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures.

Dr. Khalil and Dr. Nelson‘s staff is trained in assisting with I.V. general anesthesia and I.V. sedation within our state of the art office setting.

Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires 6 additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Dr. Khalil and Dr. Nelson manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Khalil and Dr. Nelson practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to facial cosmetic and corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. They can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures.

Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (I.V.) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting; patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.
