Russell grew up in Ventura County on a large ranch of avocados and lemons. After attending the Thacher School, a private boarding school in Ojai, CA, Russell received a dual degree in international business and Spanish from Pepperdine University. It was while attending Pepperdine, that Russell fell in love with Malibu and its community.

In his short amount of time in the real estate business Russell has accomplished more than many because of his strong desire to excel at his profession. Russell feels a great sense of satisfaction when he gets to help others realize their real estate goals. A true problem solver by nature, Russell enjoys the challenges of real estate and in most circumstances maintains a high level of equanimity that his peers have come to respect.

Russell has also gotten a great deal of satisfaction by participating for non profit organizations in his community. Russell just finished his term as the Volunteer Coordinator for the West Los Angeles Malibu chapter of the Surfrider Foundation. From beach clean ups to to major policy change to help clean up the water at Surfrider beach, Russell played an intricate role in the successful execution of the objectives of the chapter.

In addition to excelling at his profession and being actively involved with the community, Russell has been an avid surfer, rock climber and sailor for many years. It is his passion for the outdoors that makes him appreciate the natural beauty of Malibu. Malibu remains at his spiritual center because it is one of the only places where his lifestyle and passion for helping others come together.

At Pepperdine, he was the captain of the surf team and has traveled to exotic places all around the globe in search of the perfect wave. Russell learned to sail at a very young age from his father. He has participated and often won several offshore yacht racing regattas as well as dinghy racing regattas.

At boarding school he was able to quench his curiosity for exploration and the outdoors by pursuing the sport of rock climbing which he still actively does today. He has scaled some of the tallest and most challenging routes in Yosemite, Joshua tree, and has backpacked throughout the Sierra Nevada and Patagonia ranges.

To safely achieve great heights, a supreme and intricate knowledge of the various systems is required. Without a deep understanding of these systems, the consequences can be very serious. Similar to mountaineering, it is the precision and attention to detail that draws him to his profession and creates an unwavering focus within him to help his clients and solve problems.
