We have been serving patients in the Sacramento Area and beyond, providing impression fitted, hand sculptured and hand painted ocular prostheses (artificial eyes) for over 46 years.

We are skilled in the fitting of thin shell prostheses (scleral shell prostheses) over blind, disfigured eyes (phthisis bulbi).

We are also experienced with "state of the art" orbital implants such as the coraline (Bioeye), Medpor and all pegging systems.

We strive to provide the best results and will spare no effort to accomplish this goal.

We would like to pass on our best wishes to Phil and Katharine Danz as they begin their retirement. After serving communities in Northern and Southern California for over 45 years, Mr Danz has finally hung up the lab coat to pursue his other many talents. Phillip A. Danz and Associates, Inc. will continue to operate in the same location under the direction of Eric M. Lindsey, a Board Certified Ocularist and fine artist. Mr. Danz will drop in from time to time and will also see patients by request. Happy retirement Phil and Katha!!

We also recognize the decades of work offered by Carolyn Wheatley. Carolyn has also retired from our staff and is enjoying her grand children. Happy retirement Carolyn!!

In addition to achieving the status of Board Cerified Ocularist, Eric M. Lindsey has been approved by the Board of the directors of the American Society of Ocularists as a diplomate Ocularist. He has also humbly accepted the invitation to work on the ASO Eduacation committee.

We are pleased to announce that a member of our Staff, Eric Matthew Lindsey, has completed the requirements to become certified by the National Examining Board of Ocularists (NEBO) to provide custom ophthalmic prosthetic services.

Eric Lindsey has recently been honored by the American Society of Ocularists as the presenter of the annual Joseph A. LeGrand Memorial lecture. This lecture was presented to all attending ocularists and ophthalmologists at the annual medical advisory seminar in November, 2007.
