The Christian life is a wonderful journey where you can find hope, peace and become a part of an ever growing family of people in search of something better than what this life alone has to offer.
Some people have come to think of “religion” as a collection of confusing rituals. But it does not need to be this way. We strive at the Pleasant View Church of Christ to keep things simple as they did in the early beginnings of the Church.
Jesus spent time with everyday people, the young and old, rich and poor, religious and not religious. He taught them a simple but powerful message ~ that God’s Kingdom was open to all, no matter what their status or circumstance.
To follow Him, they needed to believe that Jesus was more than just a great teacher or prophet, but the Son of God. If they chose to believe and follow Him, they would find a way to overcome their failures and begin a life in the presence of God. The same is true today.
Faith is what is important, not rituals. It is the call of God that opens up our heart to want to learn more about Him. Faith is a very personal journey between you and God and each of us is unique in this journey with Him.
The call of God gives us a way to overcome our sometimes struggling, sometimes broken and sometimes directionless lives and it offers us strength, healing and gives life purpose and meaning. God offers an abundant life.
The Pleasant View Church of Christ is a community of believers who are on this journey together. We are linked together by our common need to grow past our own failures and to try to live more like Christ everyday. We are here to help each other.
If you are searching to know God better and what it means to follow Him, then we are heading in the same direction. We hope you to join us. Questions are always welcome.
We wish you blessings for your journey… Whatever your need is we are here to help.
The Church of Christ at Pleasant View exists to:
Love and serve God and others; build up and equip his people for service; and share the Good News of Christ.
We are saved by grace through our response of faith, believing that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died and took the penalty of our sins on Himself, and that He was raised from the dead on the third day by the power of God. Every person capable of faith is called by God to believe in Jesus as their Savior, repent for sin in their life, make a public confession of faith that Jesus is Lord, and be joined to Christ and His Church by being Baptized (immersed) in his name. Having made this response of faith, all sin in forgiven and we receive the gift of God's Holy Spirit.
