Everyone wonders - "How did you ever get into the baking business?"
My first step was experimenting with recipes, distributing my wares to friends, family and small businesses to see 'what'd you think?'. In 1989, I founded my first wholesale business - "I Love Chocolate".
I transitioned "I Love Chocolate" from a purely wholesale business to a retail store in San Francisco, where I enjoyed 5 successful years. In 1999 I sold "I Love Chocolate" and took a break from baking...but not for long.
When I first bought Polly Ann Bakery, it was a retail store in Petaluma. This time I did a reverse transition, going from retail to selling wholesale and making goodies for private individuals. I now own Polly Ann Bakery and Sandwich Shop in Novato
I am specializing in wedding, anniversary and special event cakes as well as pastries, because I enjoy "adding the icing" to these joyous occasions.
