Known for many years as Express Muffler & Hitch, Express began as a simple idea, just a couple of guys building custom exhaust systems in the evenings and on weekends. Tim Abbas brought with him 15 years experience as an exhaust installer working with both bolt-on and custom systems. Scott Young contributed over a decade of experience fabricating truck bodies for the likes of the Santa Fe Railroad and AT&Tknown then as PacBell. Working out of Scott's home garage in Santee, California, it quickly became apparent, they would need to find more accommodating facilities. In a nearby automotive center, they found a couple of bays available and in March of '89 Express Muffler was born.
Over the years, as the needs of our customers have grown and evolved, Express has too. Nothing illustrates this more than the steps we made in 2004. In order to intergrate the new products and services we considered providing, we began building a new showroom and installation facility and changed our name to better reflect these changes. Now in our new home, under the name Express Performance Center, we've branched out to carry an extensive line of Truck, Jeep & SUV Accessories from leading manufacturers. We are now equipped to service Full-Size RVs, provide Complete Brake Service including Trucks & Trailers and offer Trailer Tires but that's just the start of all the products and services we have to offer. We proudly carry Bilstein Shocks, Optima Batteries, Volant and K&N Cool Air Intakes & Filters, KargoMaster Ladder Racks, Transfer-Flow Fuel Tanks, AMP Research Power Steps, Firestone, AirLift and Hellwig AirBags, Blue Ox Tow Systems, Draw-Tite Towing Products; plus ProComp & RCD Suspension Systems, Eagle Alloy Wheels, Moto Metal and KMC, as well as tires by BFG, ProComp and Toyo—to name a few.
