Vinyl, wood, fiberglass and composites transfer almost no energy through them making them the ideal materials to construct window and door frames.
All dual pane glass is not created equal.
Innovations in the glass manufacturing industry have lead to better Spectrally Selective Low Emisivity coatings. These coatings reflect out harmful heat and ultra violet rays in the summer and retain heat in the winter. A window or door with LOE glass can be 100% more efficient than dual pane glass alone.
