Practical Winery & Vineyard has, in its 30 years of publication, always felt it was performing the services of a Journal rather than just a Magazine.
For the continuing education of the grape and wine industry, we have always straddled the educational line between university research, and the application of such research and other best practices in the winery/vineyard.
We decided to update our name accordingly. We hope you will welcome the Practical Winery & Vineyard Journal!
In the best tradition of professional journals in fields as diverse as medicine, law, and
engineering, Practical Winery & Vineyard Journal is moving to quarterly format in 2011.
PWV is committed to giving readers more quality content than ever, and will offer Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall editions that follow the grapegrowing / winemaking year. Readers will have three months to review the in-depth, peer-reviewed, practical content in each edition.
The Winter 2011 edition of Practical Winery & Vineyard Journal will be published in January, 2011, and we hope to bring you our best issue ever. Read it over and tell us what you think!
Reader comments, feedback, and critique are invaluable as we work to serve the continuing needs of the wine industry with the best quality content possible.
Your comments about our work past, present, and future can be sent to PWV anytime by emailing don@practicalwinery.com.
