MEDITATION - From Shel White
Are you pregnant? Advent brings us anticipation of something new to be born in and through us. In this season, do you sense exciting anticipation like gathering with family? Or is your anticipation filled with dread like gathering with family? The same experience brings joyful expectancy for some and for others, trepidation. In this season, can you welcome the Holy Spirit who can overshadow you and grow new life within you?
God wants to come within you. Anticipate it, welcome it and enjoy your pregnancy.
They sent them to the Lord to ask, "Are you the one who is to come, or are we to wait for another?" Luke 7:19
Peace and Grace,

Christmas Wreaths St. Andrew's own Boy Scout Troop 239 will be selling fresh and beautiful Christmas wreaths in the St. Andrew's courtyard. The wreaths are 22" in diameter and are made of fresh pine and Nobel fir. The wreaths also feature decorative pinecones and a vibrant red bow. At $20 each, the wreaths are priced cheaper than retail outlets and are better and fresher quality. As the troop has done in previous years, $3 from the sale of each wreath will be donated to St. Andrew's Christmas fund. If you're planning on buying a Christmas wreath this year, please buy it from Troop 239 or contact Ethan & Oliver Armand or Alex Pinder for more information.

We'll meet in the Activity Center at 2:30pm and break into teams to reach as many folks as we can. Following the caroling, there will be a pizza and soda dinner at the church. Let's all turn out for this opportunity to enjoy each other and to have the community enjoy us as well. Contact Terry Neidlinger with questions.
Can You Hear Them? - Sunday, December 12 - The angels on the St. Andrew?s Angel Tree are calling us to share our fortunes with some who are far less fortunate at this time. This year we are once again supporting families and children from Bay Area Crisis Nursery, St. Vincent de Paul and other deserving recipients. The maximum limit is for a gift of $25. There are children and opportunities to give money, which will be used to buy food for a Christmas meal. Gifts and or donations can be brought to the office or attached to the Angel Tree up until the deadline of immediately following the 10:30 service on Sunday, December 5th, when they will be boxed up for delivery. Help us make this a wonderful opportunity for sharing God's love with others. For more information, email Karen Zimmerman at H2Owoman327@sbcglobal.net or Jennifer Shaw at Jennifer@seekascribe.com.

Westminster Woods Women's Retreat - February 4-6, 2011 - Join other women of St. Andrew's at a weekend filled with spiritual nourishment, great food, time in nature, and space away from the pressures of your daily life. Westminster Woods Camp and Conference Center sponsors the retreat and although they offer two weekends, St. Andrew's has a Congregational Meeting that conflicts with the first weekend. Therefore, plan on Weekend #2, February 4-6, as your retreat time. Registration is online at www.westminsterwoods.org or we are working on getting paper registrations at the church. The cost of the weekend is $160. Additional options such as a massage, or deluxe accommodations (with an indoor bathroom) cost a little bit more. If finances are tight for you, please contact me directly for campership funds. I hope you can join in this retreat where we grow closer to God and closer to our sisters at St. Andrew's. If you have any other questions, please ask Rev. Wendy.
CARE Packages We again are soliciting donations for CARE packages to our St. Andrew's family and friends who are in college or the military. Donations of stationery, pens, school supplies, gum, healthy snacks and coffee gift cards will be greatly appreciated. If you have a loved one who you would like to receive a CARE package, please let the church office know.
