Pain---as anyone who has experienced it will attest---takes a daily toll on one's physical and psychological health. The source of chronic pain can, at times, be elusive to diagnose, and may require a team of experts to accurately diagnose and treat.
UCLA's Pain Management Center provides each patient with a customized treatment plan to help reduce and cope with pain. Patients are seen in the clinic and the procedure facility is conveniently located across the street at the UCLA/Santa Monica Medical Center.
Physicians at the center are board-certified in pain management and work closely with UCLA specialists in anesthesiology, neurosurgery, psychology/psychiatry, and oncology. As a result, patients benefit from the collective knowledge and technical expertise of one of the nation's premier academic medical centers. In many cases, patients are invited to participate in groundbreaking clinical trials that may not be available elsewhere.
