Foothill Country Sheds and Shelters, Inc. is a family owned and operated business providing high quality gable sheds, shelters, and gambrel barns to both the rural and suburban communities. Our sheds and shelters are used and built to your specific needs from basic storage to horse runs in sheds. We serve Northern California and are based in the Sierra foothills in El Dorado County, east of Sacramento.
Our products are constructed using quality wood-framing and sheeted with 29 gauge metal panels. The zinc-aluminum coating protects the steel from rust and corrosion. The baked enamel paint coating resists fading and chalking and won't peel or check. These two features, the zinc-aluminum and baked enamel coatings, translate to a 40 year warranty on the metal sheeting.
We at Foothill Country Sheds combine the trusted strength and versatility of wood-framing, the durability of steel siding, and excellent craftsmanship to provide you with a weather-tight, maintenance-free, worry-free, eye-catching shed. We are committed to your 100% satisfaction, and not just after installation; we back our products up with an industry-leading 7 year warranty. The bottom line is that we strive to provide our customers with sheds and barns that they will love...and for a long time. Whether it's within the warranty or not we'll do what we can to keep you pleased with your shed.
We offer three styles to choose from: our Multi-Use Shelter, which was originally designed as a horse shelter, has been used for many different purposes including storage for hay, ATVs, jet skis, riding lawn mowers, many types of animals, garden equipment, wood, pool toys/equipment, etc. It is also easily modifiable with options such as lengthening the "tack" room, raising the walls, extending the overhang, putting in hay hatches, dutch doors, double doors, windows, gates, full enclosures, you name it. This can quickly become the perfect shelter for your needs. This unit has also been modified to make semi-custom barns and oversize shelters. See our Gallery and Custom Barn pages for additional pictures/ideas.
We also offer a Barn Style (Gambrel Barn) shed that comes with a loft on both ends and a ladder, as well as a more simple and traditional Gable style shed. Modifications to these structures are also possible. Some common requests are taller walls, no floor, install on cement pad, omit loft and ladder, additional doors, double doors and horse runs in sheds.
