The mission of Calvin Christian School, in cooperation with the home and church, is to teach the whole child from a Biblical worldview, founded in the Reformation, providing children from Christian families with an excellent education for a life of Christ-centered service.

Interested in learning more about Calvin College?
Mr. Steenstra is planning to take a group of high school students to Calvin College (Grand Rapids, Michigan) for Fridays at Calvin. The date of the trip is TBD. Students will be reimbursed $200 for air travel, and lodging will be provided. Please contact Mr. Steenstra if youre interested.

Local Service Opportunity
Mision Vida Nueva (http://misionvidanueva.org) ministers to the mainly Hispanic community in central Escondido. It meets at Pioneer Elementary School for worship and food distribution every Saturday from 1 to 3PM. Calvin Christian Junior High and High School students are invited to help with child care and tutoring on Saturday, December 11. We will leave together from Calvin at 12:30PM, and return at 3:30PM. Please contact Mr. Steenstra if you or youre child is interested in helping out.

Calvin Christian High School Students, their parents, and alumni are invited to travel to Italy this summer visiting Rome, Naples and Pompeii. We leave June 13, 2011, for our nine day adventure. The total price is $2,960 for just about everything, including round-trip flights, air-conditioned central Roman hotel accommodations with bath [double occupancy], all breakfasts, dinners, transportation, entrance fees/tours, activities, tips and taxes. Activities include climbing down into the catacombs; a day trip to explore ancient Pompeii; touring the Colosseum, Roman Forum and the Vatican; as well as riding Segways over the Seven Hills of Rome.
