Belly dancing is an ancient Egyptian art with direct and relevant health benefits for today's busy life style. It is a universal art of spirituality and self expression that also builds and sustains a healthy physique.
Sohaila is a world renowned professional belly dancer who has performed in major entertainment venues across the United States, Europe, and Latin America, with extended stays in Mexico City and the Middle East as well as Egypt, Syria, Dubai, Jordan, and Greece. She has been featured as a top solo performer in venues that range from cruise ships to dignitary events. She has received instruction and training from a diverse set of world famous dancers and teachers, such as Dr. Mo Gaddawi, Dr. Hassan Khalil, and Aida Nour. Sohaila teaches belly dancing and gives belly dancing lessons in San Diego.

Sohaila has mastered the art of belly dance and personalized the dance with fluidity, class, grace, and style. Her flawless performance of classical Egyptian style dance and her profound passion for her art shine in every hip drop and controlled shimmy, and leave a lasting impression.

Belly dance pioneering is one of Sohaila's many lasting achievements. She introduced the art of belly dancing to an already culturally diverse Mexico and was welcomed with open arms. Other pioneering achievements include teaching, researching, and most recently writing. She has been inspired to write her own instructional books on classical Egyptian dance style and technique, and is currently working on the "ABC's of Belly Dance Costuming, Ideas, and More" and "The Holistic Side to Belly dancing."
With over a dozen instructional DVDs, Sohaila's techniques have been seen around the world and have helped many dancers add to their dance repertoire (and get rave reviews).
Her vision is like that of any world class instructor. Looking to the future, she teaches students the art of dance while building a network of next generation belly dancers. Sohaila is committed to passing on her knowledge to her many students through patience and encouragement. And like any good instructor she introduces her students to the authentic costumes and accessories.
